*** About this map ***
This gorgeous, highly detailed map of Saudi Arabia is one of the first – if not the first – to feature the name Aramco, or the Arabian American Oil Company. Originally published in 1953 by Aramco, this map is exceedingly rare and shows an early look at oil extraction and logistics in Saudi Arabia.

A number of early oil pipelines are shown, including the Trans-Arabian Pipeline and Aramco Pipeline.

This map also shows the early development of the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Muscat, with both Dubai and Muscat shown. Qatar is also on this map, along with Yemen in the bottom left.

This map looks great at all sizes: 18x18in 46x46cm and 24×24 inches 61x61cm, but it looks even better when printed large.
